Shared note	Joshua Piland was born April 6, 1870, and lived at home until he was 18 years old. He went to South Carolina to his mother's brother, Bob Lawrence, and stayed there for some time. When he left South Carolina, he went to Georgia where he met and married Sarah Harris in 1895. They lived at Odom, Ga. on a large farm. Sarah was born June 26, 1882, in Georgia and died January 12, 1938. Joshua loved to play the mouth harp and he loved children, even in his old age. Joshua lived there until he died on November 4, 1945. Joshua and Sarah were buried at the Liberty Cemetery at Screven, Ga., which is 10 miles southwest of Jesup, Ga. This couple was not blessed with any children.
