Mrs. Pyland was the mother of thirteen children, four boys and nine girls, all of them survive the deceased. Shared note	Obituary: DOUGLAS PYLAND HUGHES SPRINGS - Douglas Pyland, 75, retired Avinger cattleman and lumberman, died about 3 p.m. Saturday in Hospital In The Pines at Lone Star. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Avinger. Officiating will be the Rev. R. O. Sullivan and the Rev. Gaylon Riddle. Burial will be in Avinger Cemetery. Pyland was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors are is wife, Mrs. Annie Pyland of Avinger; two sons, Ercel Pyland of Avinger and W. D. Pyland of Hughes Springs; two daughters, Mrs. John H. Robertson Jr. of Sour Lake and Mrs. W. D. Emberling of Terrell; two brothers, Ruby Pyland of Hughes Springs and Russell Pyland of Jefferson; nine sisters, Mrs. Rena Pasrr and Mrs. Armond Johnson of Avinger, Mrs. Anna Lake O'Brien and Mrs. Ola Pyland of Jefferson, Mrs. Euna Stark and Mrs. Roger Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Tommy George of Minden, Mr. I. C. Wimberly of Carthage and Mrs. Jack Witt of Hooks; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
