Pyland, age 67, died at the family home Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. after an illness of several months, funeral services were conducted at the home Wednesday morning at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Dickey of Avinger and Rev. Webb of Hughes Springs conducting the services. Interment was in the Pyland Cemetery. Mrs. Pyland was the mother of thirteen children, four boys and nine girls, all of them survive the deceased. Dennis Gibbons officiating. [:TAB:] Arrangements are under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs. [:TAB:] Mr. Parr died Wednesday at his residence. [:TAB:] Born April 22, 1922 in Cass County, he was a retired electrician for Lone Star Steel and was a World War II veteran serving in the South Pacific. Mr. Parr was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. [:TAB:] His wife, Bobbie Lineberger Parr, preceded him in death July 31, 1989. [:TAB:] Survivors include daughter Freddah Bradford of Jefferson; sister, Joy Lynn Tyler of Jefferson; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
