Pyland, age 67, died at the family home Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. after an illness of several months, funeral services were conducted at the home Wednesday morning at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Dickey of Avinger and Rev. Webb of Hughes Springs conducting the services. Interment was in the Pyland Cemetery. Mrs. Pyland was the mother of thirteen children, four boys and nine girls, all of them survive the deceased.
