Shared note	Alva was killed in a handcar accident working on the railroad between Blytheville and Jonesboro, Arkansas. His hat blew off and when he grabbed for it he lost his balance and was run over by the handcar. Administrator's bond filed Lake City District, Craighead Co, AR on 16 July 1912 by his father, A. F. Pyland. The bond was filed and recorded 22 July 1912.
