FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. NANNIE RUSSUM (from Hearne, Texas newspaper dated 15 October 1926): Funeral services for Mrs. Nannie Russum, who died Wednesday evening, October 6, after a short illness, were conducted in the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. B. Pyland, Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. A. A. Wagnon of the Methodist church, and Rev. C. E. Bullock of the Baptist church were officiants in the rites, following which the body was taken to Bremond for interment. Nannie Russum, nee Martin, was born in Falls county, Texas, seventy-two years ago, and had made her home in this state continuously. In young womanhood she was married to J. F. Russum and three children, two sons and a daughter, blessed this union. Mrs. W. B. Pyland of this city and one son, Tom Russum, of Rule, Texas survive, while one son died in boyhood. Mrs. Russum was left a widow several years ago and for thirteen years has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Pyland. Uniting with the Methodist church in childhood, Mrs. Russum always found joy and comfort in the faith she professed, and was ready for the summons even though it came unexpectedly. The bereaved daughter and son have the sympathy of the entire community.
