Widow Mary and son John William Pylant living Massac Co, IL in 1900 and Brookport, Massac Co, IL in 1920.

Letters provided by Mrs. Gelene Pylant Newhouse. She writes: I found that holding the paper up to the light makes it more legible - the copies came out so dark - but the paper is so fragile. Since this didn't copy well, I am interpreting from the original, written in pencil, but clearer than the copy. I hope this will be of interest to you.

This is the letter from J. E. Pylant to W. N. Pylant, Talley, Tenn. There was a note on the outside of the envelope, "Newt Pylant's letter".
