OF BRYAN AND
STATE OF

Mollie Blagg, plaintiff,

vs

T. J. Blagg, defendant

PETITION FOR DIVORCE

Comes now the plaintiff herein, Mollie Blagg, and respectully states to the Court, that she is a resident in good faith of Bryan County, Oklahoma, and has been for more than one year next before the date of the filing of the petition herein, and that the defendant, T. J. Blagg, is a resident of Bryan County, Oklahoma and the plaintiff and defendant are each in the jurisdiction of this Court. That for cause of action against the defendant, plantiff states that she and defendant were legally married on or about the 9th day of January, 1906, and that they lived together as man and wife from and after that date until on or about the 8th day of August, 1911 at which time the plaintiff and defendant separated. Plaintiff would further charge that after the date of the marriage of the plaintiff and defendant, the defendant influenced and persauded the plaintiff to let him be appointed guardian of her minor children, and that since the date of his said appointment the defendant has taken no interest in the support and maintenance of his family, other than out of the funds derived from the estate of said minors; That the defendant is lazy and improvident and married this plaintiff for her money and her lands and since the said date of marriage the defendant has contininuously failed and refused to contribute to the support and maintenance of the plaintiff. Plaintiff would further show that the defendant is quarralsome and for the last 4 years has repeatedly treated the plaintiff with such indignities as to render her condition intolerable, calling her vile names to her great humiliation, such as liar, bitch, whoar and that before her children; Petitioner would further show that the defendant since the date of the marriage aforesaid, has utterly failed and refused to provide food and clothing for the plaintiff herein, that she has been forced to sell her produce for food and clothing. That the defendant has failed and refused to perform manual labor on the farm of the plaintiff, but idles about and has other work hands to wait on him; and the defendant has failed and refused to earn his own food and clothing in the management of plaintiffs farm but insists that he does not have to work and that she has kept him up since the date of their marriage. That the plaintiff would further charge that the defendant during the entire time that she has lived with him that he has never bought her a single garment, and that out of the funds belonging to the plaintiff and that of her children he clothes himself. That the defendant has for the last three or four years next before the filing of this suit the defendant has continually showed and exhibited a cold feeling for this plaintiff and her children and manifested no interest in their welfare, that is the defendant made no attempt to his conceal his contempt for plaintiff and children. The plaintiff would further show that the defendant has on two occasions ordered her away from her house, the last date being on the 5th day of August, 1911, that the defendant has never made any effort to provide for this plaintiff and that he has wholly failed to support and maintain the plaintiff and is guilty of gross neglect of his duty toward the plaintiff here, and that she further charges that the defendant has been guilty of such cruel neglect of duty and conduct toward the plaintiff to amount to extreme cruelty, and that his conduct has been such toward her as to render her condition intolerable. Wherefore plaintiff prays for a judgement of this Court for absolute divorce from the defendant, and that summons issue and be served upon the defendant and upon final herein herself she has order herein prayed for restoring her to all the right and privilige of a single person, and for $50 her attorneys fee and all costs in this laid out and expanded, and for all other and further relief to which she may be entitled.
