[UND:]Will of Richard Piland[:UND] - In the Name of God Amen I Richard Piland of Southwark Parish in the County of Surry being very Sick and Weak but of Sound Perfect Sense and Memory Thanks be to Almighty God do make and ordained this my last Will and Testament in manner & form as followeth - First & Principle I commit my Soul to Almighty God & for what Estate it hath Pleased the Lord to Bless me with I give and Bequeath of dispose of as followeth - Item my Will & desire is that my loving Mary may have the Liberty of tending Clearing upon both my Plantations where She shall there ____ during of her widowhood provided my Sons George Piland & Robert Piland Should Sell the land that they Should let her have a place to Live at to her Satisfaction or the Sixth Part of The Money The Land Sells for - I likewise give to my loving Wife Mary my ___ Negroes Rafe & Sarah for Ever at her disposing Item I give to my Son George Piland the Plantation whereon my Mother now Lives as far as Sunken Marsh Road I give it him and his heirs forever I likewise give to my Son George my Negro Boy Jemmey and the worth of Six Pounds Current Money of household furniture - Item I give to my Son Robert Piland the plantation whereon I now dwell and all my Land of the South Side of Sunken Marsh Road to him and his heirs forever I likewise give to my Son Robert my Negro Boy Sam and the worth of Six Pounds Current Money of household Furniture - Item I give my Son Nicholas Piland Twenty Pounds Current Money - Item I give to my Son Benjamin Piland Twenty Pounds Current Money - if are a one of my two sons Nicholas or Benjamin Should die that the other may have his Estate - Item I give to my Two Daughters Elizabeth Judkins and Mary Piland my Negro Girl Lidda to be Equally divided Between them - Item I give to my Dqaughter Martha Piland my Negor Girl Fanny - Item I give to my five Children Nicholas Benjamin Elizabeth Mary & Martha The worth of Six Pounds Current Money of household Furniture - Item I give to my loving Wife Mary the labour of my Negro Boy Tom during of her widowhood or till my Son Nicholas comes of age and then my Negro Boy Tom to be Equally Divided between my two Sons Nicholas and Benjamin - My Will and desire is that my Negro Woman Lucy & her two Children Henry & Rachel may be sold by my Exec - Item I give to my loving Wife Mary after my Debts & Legacy is paid all the Remander part of my Estate during her Widowhood but if She should Marry then the Estate Should be then Equally Divided between my Wife and all my Children or if She Should die and not Marry for my Estate then to be Equally divided among all my Children - I do hereby Constitute and appoint my Loving Wife Mary and my Son George Piland my whole & Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament in Witness whereof I have Set my Hand and Seal this 12th day of November One Thousand Seven Hundred & Fifty Six - Richard Piland (SS) Samuel Judkins Benja.
