Services for Raymond H. Pylant, 75, of Wisner were held Tuesday, March 9, 1999 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidalia under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Burial followed at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird.
Pylant died Monday, March 8, 1999 at Natchez Community Hospital.
He was born April 23, 1923 in Crowville, LA to William Asberry and Zelma Cox Pylant. He retired in 1985 from International Paper Company after 35 years of service. He was a World War II Army veteran having served in the 291st Combat Engineers and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Winnsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Frances Walker Pylant and brothers, Wilburn Pylant, Ozro Pylant, Chester Pylant, and Harvey Pylant.

Services for George M. Pylant, 87, of Crowvile, were held Monday, March 31, 2008 at Mulhearn Chapel with Dr. Keith Dowden officiating, Internment followed in Crowville Masonic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro.
Mr. Pylant was a member of First Baptist Church Crowville, Woodmen of the World and retired famer and carpenter, he was most proud of his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents William Asberry Pylant and Zelma Ann Cox Pylant, along with five brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Helen Pylant, two daughters Linda Martin and her husband Huey and Rita Pilgreen and her husband Jim; three sons George A. Pylant and his wife Liz, Michael Pylant and his wife Gayle and Jeff Pylant; two brothers Floyd Pylant and Cecil Pylant; 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Pallbearer were Brandon Pylant, Chad Pylant, Jason Pylant, Donnie Harper, Eddie Ward, Jeffery Lena, Joey Lena and Jason Nix.
