[UND:]A. O. MACK FOUND DEAD IN FIELD NEAR HIS FARM HOME[:UND] Aaron Otto Mack, 53, well-known farmer of near Maynard, was found dead in a field on his farm at 6 p.m. Monday, his death having resulted from gunshot wounds in the head. Mr. Mack had borrowed a gun from a relative Monday morning and had not been seen since he left his home about 11 a.m. The gun was found beside him and a note to his family indicated that he had been despondent. He was born at Brockett, March 5, 1894, a son of Solomon S. and Barbara Penn Mack. He had resided near Maynard for the past 27 years and was highly respected by his many friends and neighbors. Funeral services were conducted at the Brockett cemetery Wednesday afternoon by Bro. Carroll Trent. Interment was under the direction of McNabb Undertaking Co. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ollie Mack; two daughters, Mrs. Eula Milam of the Maynard Route, Mrs. Beulah Melton of Maynard; three sons, Buell and Charles Mack of Maynard and Buford Mack of Abington, Ill.; four grandchildren; two brothers, John of Maynard, and Silas of Abington, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Carrie Milam of the Maynard Route, Mrs. Ethel Riney of Maynard, Mrs. Maggie Davis of Somerton, Ariz., and Mrs. Claris Lindsey of Abington, Ill. |
