John Pylant, an electrician, died Friday at a Brownwood hospital. He was 70. Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at South Leon Baptist Church in Newburg. Burial will be in Newburg Cemetery. Comanche Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pylant was born in Cameron and was a Baptist. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.
Survivors: Wife, Patsy Pylant of Newburg; two daughters, Nancy Metzger of Austin and Johnnie King of Baytown; brother, Vorgie Pylant of Mercedes; and four grandchildren.
