From Waco (Texas) Times-Herald, Monday, 24 Jan 1921, page 9. From The Hamilton (Texas) Herald-Record, Friday, 4 Feb 1921: [:TAB:] The remains of Mrs. Geo. C. Pylant arrived on the 1:25 train from Waco Monday and were interrred in the city cemetery of this place, per announcemnt, Rev. G. E. Wiley of the First Baptist church conducting the funeral services. Mr. and Mrs. Pylant formerly lived in Gatesville but moved some years ago to the Central City where they have made their home since. Mrs. Pylant is a daughter of Mr. John Hood and a sister of Mrs. Edgar Franks. We understand she has been in poor health for some time and recently regarded as critically ill at one of the sanitariums in that city where the end came on last Sunday. The bereaved husband, known personally to most of our people, and the father and sister and other relatives, now bowed in deepest sorrow, have the tender sympathy of the people of this place which was evidenced in many ways on the occasion of the funeral and during the illness of this good woman who has passed into the future life which awaits the faithful. -- Gatesville Messenger |
