<p>Vernon Edward Mapp LUBBOCK - Vernon Edward Mapp, 85, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in College Heights Baptist Church in Plainview with Don Robertson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Plainview Cemetery by Resthaven Funeral Home. Mr. Mapp was born July 19, 1921, in Retrop, Okla., to Claude Franklin Mapp and Viola Violet Cagle Mapp. He married Trannie Ruth Sanders in 1952 in Hammond, Okla. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jana McCoy of Lubbock, Teresa Cavitt of Brownwood and Mary Kaye Mapp of Amarillo; and two grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to College Heights Baptist Church building fund, 802 Quincy, Plainview, TX 79072 or Coggin Avenue Baptist Church Vision 100 Building Program, 1815 Coggin Ave., Brownwood, TX 76801.
