Edward was God-son of Justinian Cooper, Gentleman (1658). Justinian Cooper's will was written 26 March 1650 and it stated, "I give unto Edward Pyland, son of James Pyland, five Hundred pounds Tob to be paid next year which will be 1651." James Pyland, Signum Teste" He was overseerer of his will, 1658, and received a legacy from it. Wills, Isle of Wight County, Virginia: 2 May 1670 - Edward Piland died intestate; administration requested by brother, Richard Piland, dated 2 May 1670, recorded 24 Jun 1670. |
