Mr. Pylant had been a resident of Houston and Pasadena for 46 years, was a member of Christian Temple Assembly of God, served in the Royal Rangers as an Aide-de-Camp, was head of Men's Ministries of the Assembly of God South Texas District, was Printer of the Church News for 17 years and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Naydean S. Pylant, Pasadena, daughters, Gloria Clowes, Long Beach, Ca., Lutretia Reynolds, San Antonio, Ernestine Robbins, North Hollywood, Ca., Sammie Ruth Hughes, Livingston, Jean Wortham, Pasadena, Judy Williams, South Houston, Joe Nell McGowan, Newton, Tx., sons, Robert S. Pylant, Sebree, Ky., Wyman C. Pylant, Mission, Tx., David Love, South Houston, sister, Doris Knight, Lawton, Ok., as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday April 3, 1996 at Christian Temple Assembly of God, 9701 Almeda-Genoa Rd. with Rev. O. C. Bates officiating. Interment will follow at South Memorial Park Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home after 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 2, 1996. Pylant of Evansville, Indiana; three sisters, Gloria Clowes and Ernestine Robbins, both of California, Lutretia Reynolds of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, Wyman Pylant of Texas; three step-sisters, including Judy Williams of Texas; one step brother, David Love of Texas; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
