<p>William Harvey Piland of Honey Grove died at 9:15 a.m. Fri., June 13, at McCuistion Hospital. Services Tues., June 17, at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Honey Grove. Born in the Milford community in Lamar County, son of Alfrod A. and Myrtle Gray Piland. He married Claudia May Henderson in Hugo, OK. She preceded him in death June 5, 1957. He was a retired Babcock and Wilcox employee and member of the Petty Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 sons, Richard Piland of Julian, CA., Jerry Piland of Honey Grove and Jim Piland of Henderson; 2 daughters, Katie Ruth Ivey and Brenda Gaye both of Julian, CA., 3 brothers, Eli Piland of Bonham, John Piland of San Angelo and Charles Piland of Fresno, CA.: 3 sisters, Ruth Davis of Garfield, KS., Dora Morgan of Jacksonville, and Evelyn Smith of Garland; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Bearers were nephews and grandsons.
