obituary: Doris Virginia (Pylant) Knight Age 83, Lawton - Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Assembly of God with Rev. Byron G. Elmore and Rev. Lloyd Grubbs, officiating. Mrs. Knight died Thursday at her residence. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home. She was born March 9, 1926 in Ardmore, Oklahoma, to A.H. and Myrtle Phoebe (Marsh) Pylant. She grew up in Ardmore and was a graduate of Ardmore High School. She married Guy Delbert Knight on November 15, 1947 in Ardmore. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1996. She had worked for Civil Service at Fort Sill as a secretary / typist but was primarily a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God and taught Sunday school and had served as the children’s church coordinator. She is survived by seven sons and daughters in law, Jerry and Nita Knight, Lawton, Frank and Sue Knight, Lawton, Steve and Sherri Knight, Lawton, Greg and Marsha Knight, Mustang, Oklahoma, Tommy Knight, Mike and Carol Knight and Kent Knight, all of Lawton; a daughter and son in law, Karen and Joe Cunningham, Lawton; 12 grandchildren, Cheryl, Lorie, Aimee, Ben, Jason, Natalie, Silas, Brandon, Joey, Matthew, Sarah and Kassie; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Vernell Piker.
