CARL S. FOWLER
Carl S. Fowler, 71, of Viola, Ill., died in St. Francis Hospital, Litchfield, Ill., Monday, Sept. 27, 1999. He was born June 20, 1928, near Brockett, a son of the late Robert and Anna Mack Fowler. After 27 years of service, he retired in 1994 from Midwest Fiber Products of Viola and also farmed in the Viola area. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy - World War II. In addition to his parents, a sister Eunice Lindsey, a brother, Eugene Fowler and an infant brother and sister preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Flo E. Warnell Fowler of the home; a daughter, Sherry Downey of Aledo, Ill., a son, Michael Fowler of Illinois City, Ill.; two sisters, Mary Foster of Abingdon, Ill., and Lois Pearcy of Galesburg, Ill.; a brother, Billie Fowler of Starke, Fla.; four gandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were held Friday morning in Viola, Ill., with burial following in Viola Cemetery there. Family Funeral Services of Viola were in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, or the American Heart Association.
