J. ELMER WHEELER - James Elmer Wheeler, 67, died at his home on Route 2, June 29. He was born March 1, 1900 in Missouri, a son of the late Elmer and Lulla Mitchell Wheeler. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lottie Wheeler of Route 2, two daughters, Mrs. Harold Cantrell of Marked Tree and Mrs. George Wheaton of Benton Harbor, Mich.; two sons, H. F. Wheeler of Lakeland, Fla. and J. D. Wheeler of Plant City, Fla.; twenty one grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Talmadge Wheeler of Pocahontas; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Persful, Mrs. Cora Tucker, Mrs. Lucy Gullett and Mrs. Audie Hurn all of Route 2. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Wilson officiating. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery under direction of McNabb Funeral Home. |
