MRS. LEMMONS - Mrs. Uva Leona Lemmons, 70 of Rt. 1, Pocahontas, passed away in Randolph Home, Tuesday, May 7. A life-long resident of Randolph County, she was born May 30, 1902, a daughter of the late George H. and Myrtle M. Luttrell James. She is survived by her husband, Vernon Lemmons of tghe home; a son, Kenneth Lemmons of Rt. 1, Pocahontas; two daughters, Mrs. Leona Akin of Greenville, Miss., and Mrs. Nancy Knotts of Rt. 1, Pocahontas; a brother, Joe James of Rt. 1, Pocahontas; 6 sisters, Mrs. Alice Poyner of Jonesboro, Mrs. Jewell Smith of Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Merle Marsh of Bristow, Va., Mrs. Hazel Johnson of Rt. 1, Pocahontas, Mrs. Delhia Osborn of West Memphis and Mrs. Hope Mobbs of Bristow, Va.; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services were held last Thursday at 2 p.m. in Skaggs Church of Christ with Grant Killion officiating. Burial followed in Masonic Cemetery with McNabb's in charge. Pallbearers were nephews, Jimmy Marsh, Herbert Cox, Curtis Johnson, J. R. Leach, Bill James, and E. G. Milton and Joe Lemmons.
