Obituary:

MR. ELVIS L. PYLANT

 Ruston, LA - Services for Mr. Elvis L. Pylant, 48, of Ruston, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 1992, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel in Ruston with Rev. Marvin Jones and Dr. Douglas L. McGuire officiating.  Burial will follow in Culbertson Cemetery near Farmerville, LA. Mr. Pylant died Friday, January 10, 1992 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after a lengthy illness. Mr. Pylant was a member of Rock Corner Baptist Church near Ruston; a charter member of Ruston Moose Lodge.  Elvis' children and grandson, Caleb, were his life.  Elvis loved people, and living, and helping people. He is survived by his wife, Beck Pylant of Ruston, LA; his mother, Mrs. Leona Pylant of Ruston; daughter, Donna Lynn Pylant of Ruston; two sons and daughters-in-law:  Ricky and Tammy Pylant of Ruston; Jamie and Missy Pylant of Ruston; brother: James Freeman Pylant of Magnolia, AR; two sisters: Betty Jo Harper of Tampa, FL; Margie Beth Larance of Dubach; grandson: James Caleb Pylant of Ruston. Pallbearers will be Regan Pylant, Tommy Pylant, Pete Wade, Johnny Bradshaw, Frankie Rose, and Travis Henderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Hammons, Mike Pylant, Donald Pylant, and Jimmy Patterson.
