<p> Funeral services for Mrs. Lester Tuesday: Southland business firms closed Tuesday afternoon to pay final tribute to Mrs. W. A. Lester, funeral services being conducted from the Baptist church by the pastor, Rev. E. R. Stiles, followed by interment in the Southland cemetery. Pall bearers were Lannie Bartlett, F. G. Browning, S. W. Gregory, Royal Saunders, S. N. Hendrix, S. L. Gossit of Garlynn. Flower girls were Mary Davies, Margaret Davies, Myrtle Stiles, Lois Hendrix, Myrtle Jernigan, and Lue Ella Stiles. Mrs. Lester became ill while visiting her son, W. P. Lester of Hackberry, passing away Monday. A resident of Southland for 17 years, Mrs. Lester leaves a host of friends who mourn her death. She was a member of the Southland Baptist Church. Survivors include a sister, Miss Mary Pylant of Southland; five children, Mrs. R. Q. Mabrey of Lorenzo, C. H. Lester of Tuscola, Mrs. H. G. Stiles of Post, W. P. Lester, Mrs. H. C. White of Kerrville; and 15 grandchildren.
