E. E. (BUD) MAY DIES THURSDAY
Edward E. (Bud) May, 40, of 705 West Church Street, Harrisburg, died in Lightner Hospital at 10:55 a.m. Thursday. He had been in ill health for the past four years with a heart condition.
He was born in Williamson County, son of the late Bearl E. May and of Mrs. Reed (Edith) Jones of Dixon Springs.
Mr. May was employed at the Saline County Monument Company in Harrisburg as a stone cutter for several years. He was employed by the Bevel Stone Works in Chicago until ill health forced him to retire in May, 1963.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and served in the Navy during World War II from 1942 until 1946.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Loretta May, two children, David and Mark, a sister, Mrs. Ruth Curlee, Tinsley Park, and a brother, Bob May of West Buxton, Maine.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday at the Turner Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Home. The Rev. Conrad Bertache will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Military rites will be observed.
