WHITSON DIES AT HOME Mrs. Lucy E. Whitson, wife of Bill Whitson, former Carter County Commissioner and one of the largest bridge contractors in this section of the state, died early Tuesday at their home southwest of Ardmore. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Pleasant Hill with Rev. R. L. Jones of Lone Grove and Rev. G. P. Rice of Marietta, Methodist ministers, officiating. Burial arrangements are in charge of Bettes Funeral Home. Surviving besides the husband are three children, Howard, Olive and Virginia, and two brothers living in Tennessee. Active pallbearers announced today are Will Kirby, Jess Dunn, E. O. Wiggens, N. D. Money, W. K. Hodges and Clarence Harris. In the list of honorary pallbearers are Buck Garrett, E. M. Thomas, J. W. Harris and Will Thomas.
