Obit: Ora Emaline Piland, Services Held Monday
Funeral services for Ora Emaline Piland, 81, Ava, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Clinkingbeard Chapel with the Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Burial was in Ava Cemetery.
A resident of Ava for 21 years, moving from Ozark County, Mrs. Piland died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 1995, at her home of a sudden sickness.
She was a housewife and a member of the General Baptist Church.
Born Jan. 4, 1914, in Ozark County, she was the daughter of Jimmy and Cora Poplin Wallace. She was married on Jan. 23, 1936 in Ozark County, to Lynn Piland, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Lyle, of Ava, and Doyle, of Las Cruces, N.M.; two brothers, Lester Wallace, and Willous Wallace, both of Broken Arrow, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, one son, two brothers and two sisters.
