Mr. Pylant was a retired farmer. A native of Limestone County, Ala., he was the son of the late George and Molly Scroggins Pylant. Services were held Saturday at Bennett-May Funeral Home with Norman Marshall and Mack Pinkelton officiating. Burial was in Giles Memory Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Rosie Pylant of Elkton; daughters, Easter Tate, Evie Allen, Rosie Lee Stover, all of Pulaski, and Betty Lou Campbell of Elkton; sons, Arthur Pylant, William Pylant, Roy Pylant, Jerry Pylant, James Pylant, all of Pulaski, and Charles Pylant of Elkton; one brother and one sister, Joe Maples Pylant and Ida Pylant, both of Athens, Ala.; 24 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
