LOREN E. DENTON, 75, RETIRED TEACHER, DIES TUESDAY
Loren E. Denton, 75, Elizabethtown, died early Tuesday in the Hardin County General Hospital. He had been in failing health for some time.
Mr. Denton retired in 1955 after a long career of 42 years as a school teacher in the county. He began teaching before he was 18 and taught in rural and town schools. He was a teacher and the principal in Rosiclare Grade for 18 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Joey Denton, one foster daughter, Mrs. Earl (Lucille) logan of Elizabethtown, Route 2; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Howard of Rosiclare and Mrs. Rachel Scott of Newburg, Ind., one brother, Olney Denton of Maywood, Ill., and three grandchildren.
Funeral services are to be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Methodist Church, Elizabethtown, with the Rev. James Barnett in charge. Burial is to be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Elizabethtown.
Hosick Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
