IN LOVING REMEMBRANCE
On Wednesday night, Dec. 26, the death angle visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Slayton near Pocahontas and took from them their darling little girl, Mona. She had been ill only four days with appendicitis. Her death was a great shock to all.
She was 12 years, 3 months and 12 days old and was a loving, sweet, kind hearted little girl. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. Mona leaves a father, mother, two sisters, four brothers and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
Funeral services were conducted by Bro. Bert Shaver and the remains were laid to rest in the Pocahontas cemetery in the presence of a large crowd of sorrowing relatives and friends.
To the bereaved ones, may we not think of Mona as being dead but that she has been called from this sorrowful world to her Heavenly home where she is sweetly sleeping in the arms of Jesus. She has only paid the debt that we all must pay. She has bowed to the inevitable will of God, who doeth all things well. It is not all of life to live nor all of death to die for we will meet to part no more in that Sweet By and By. May the bereaved ones be sustained by a strong faith in God and by the prayers and sympathies of ther many friends.
