Funeral services for Sarah Norene Blevins Foster, 94, of Katy, Texas, was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2003 at the First Baptist Church, in Katy, with Rev. Tom Bolin and Rev. Merle Blado officiating. A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2003 at the Old Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus, Texas.
Mrs. Foster died March 18, 2003 in Garland, Texas. She was born on March 19, 1909 in Calera, Oklahoma, to James Madison and Rosa Mae Blagg Blevens. She married Samuel Loyd Foster on Dec. 7, 1935 in Hastings, Oklahoma. Sarah was a member of First Baptist Church in Katy.
Survivors include her children: Jim and Margaret Foster, of Katy and Kay Ellen and Leonard Luton, of Sachse, Texas; seven grandchildren: Timothy Foster, Mark Fosteer, Ann Knaup, Laura Kring, James Luton, Scott Luton and Jill Putney; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Samuel Loyd Foster and a son, Callan Dale Foster.
