Obit: (Springfield News Leader, 5 Jan 2000) <p>Robert E. 'Bob' Pyland, 69, Springfield, MO, passed away at 6:35 p.m. Jan 3, 2000, in St. John's Regional Health Center. He fought a courageous battle with cancer for the past six years. Bob was born April 13, 1930, in Noland, Ark., the son of P.E. and Gladys Louise Holmes Pyland. He was well known in Missouri, Arkansas and the southern states as a professional trainer of Tennessee Walking Horses. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Joe and Danny Earl Pyland. Bob is survived by his wife Heidi; a son, Bobby Joe Pyland; a step son, Barry Fee, all of the home; two daughters, Debbie Horine and husband Bruce, and daughters, Jessica and Katie of Springfield, and Becky Davis and husband Darrell, of Marshfield; two sons, Rob Pyland and wife, Irene, and son Michael, and daughter, Audrey, of Ozark, and Dan Pyland and special friend, Misty Ritter of Ozark; two sisters, Mignon Smith of Black Rock, Ark., and Phyllis Kyger, of St. Louis, Mo.; and a brother, Ed Pyland, of Napa, Calif. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, 2000, in the Walnut Lawn DeGraffenreid-Wood Funeral Home Chapel, 2001 West Walnut Lawn, Springfield, Mo. Burial will follow in Patterson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bruce Horine, Rob Pyland, Michael Pyland, Dan Pyland, Darrell Davis and Becky Pyland Davis. The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. today in the funeral home. |
