Obit; Walnut Ridge, AR newspaper: Emma Izella Noblin Milgrim, age 69, of Rockford, Ill., died Jan. 1, 2000, after a long battle with emphysema. Born June 14, 1930 in Walnut Ridge, she was the daughter of Lige and Artie Taylor Noblin. She grew up in the Evergreen Community and moved to Rockford from Benton Harbor, Mich., in March of 1952. She was raised in the General Baptist faith and was a charter member of the Beverly Park General Baptist Church. She worked for various manufacturers and restaurants and retired after many years from Amerock Corp. Window Hardware in June of 1992. She was volunteer of the year as transportation coordinator for the American Cancer Society and R.S.V.P. at McIntosh Grade School. She married Charles Wray Wren on Jan. 1, 1949 in Walnut Ridge. He preceded her in death on June 29, 1969, when he ws killed in an accident. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandson. Survivors include a son, Charles Elijha (Cheryl) Milgrim; a daughter, Debra Jean Milgrim, Rockford, Ill.; a brother James (Andrea) Noblin, Pocahontas; five sisters, Violet (Marvin) Langston, Cherokee Village, Velma (Alvin) Sierra, Cheyenne, Wy., Mary (Edsel) Crabb, Hardy, Reba (Odes) Julian, Indianapolis, Ind., and Rebecca (Kent) Smith, bedford, Texas; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at Honquest Funeral Home in Rockford, Ill. |
