Shared note	Obit; The Wylie News, March 21, 2001: Funeral services for Evelyn Louise Smith, 64, were March 16, 2001, at Allen Funeral Chapel in Wylie. Dr. Paul Freeman and Jim Palmer officiated. Interment followed at Wylie Cemetery. Mrs. Smith died March 13. She was born July 17, 1936 in Delta to Alford and Myrtle Evelyn (Gray) Piland. Survivors include two daughers, Vicki Lewis of Garland and Laura Eppler of Wylie; three sons, Jim Palmer of Wylie, David Smith of Nevada and Steven Smith of Nevada; three brothers, John Piland of San Angelo, Charles Piland of Fresno, Calif., and Eli Piland of Bonham; two sisters, Ruth Davis of Garfield, Kan., and Dora Morgan of Jacksonville; and 16 grandchildren.
