(Obit: Fayetteville, TN, Aug 28, 1936) [UND:]Dr. J. T. Graham[:UND] Dr. J. T. Graham, 82, physician for forty-seven years and prominent resident of Lincoln county, died yesterday at 3 p.m. at his home at Booneville, following injuries received last Friday when he fell from his horse while riding over his farm, fracturing several ribs. Tuesday pneumonia developed. Dr. Graham was born in Tullahoma, a son of the late Rufus Graham and Rebecca Gilbert Graham. A graduate of Vanderbilt Medical school, Dr. Graham was also a member of the Masonic order and a steward in the Methodist Episcopal church, where funeral services were conducted this afternoon by the pastor, the Rev. T. A. Kirby, and the Rev. W. B. Belcher, of Bristol, Tenn. Burial was in Booneville cemetery. On Dec. 16, 1885, Dr. Graham married Miss Leona Noblett, who survives. Other survivors are four daughters, Miss Ellen Graham, Booneville; Mrs. Hugh Burrum, Waverly; Mrs. E. S. Johns, Washington, Ga.; Mrs. H. G. Miller, Manchester; one son, Joe Graham, Salt Lake City, Utah; two grandchildren, Rebecca Burrum and Graham Miller; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Wilson, Tullahoma; and Mrs. Eliza Matthews, Nashville; two brothers, William Graham, Nashiville, and J. M. Graham, Tullahoma. |
