Obituary: Charles T. Jones, the subject of this sketch, was born on Feb 20, 1842 in the state of Tennessee, and removed to Cedar County, Missouri more than thirty years ago where he remained until his death on March 6, 1903. In early manhood he was united in marriage with Miss Mary O'Neil, who still survives. Of this union ten children were born, seven of whom - five daughters aand two sons - are left to mourn their loss, all being present at the death of their parent. Deceased was converted about thirty-five years ago and united with the Baptist church, and remained faithful until the time of his death. Besides the immediate family many friends are left to mourn the loss of a neighbor who was always kind and helpful in time of need. Funeral services conducted vby Rev. Jos. Sampsel, were held at Lindley Prairie church on Sunday March 8, 1903.
